Can my employer payroll deduct the payments?
Unfortunately, these are individual benefits and cannot be payroll deducted. You are responsible for submitting payment to the insurance carrier each month you have coverage.
Are these benefits available to all members regardless of state?
For 47/50 states, yes. However, due to state specific regulations Vermont, Utah and Washington are excluded.
